Volunteers wanted

Published by:

Our next Swap and Mend is on Saturday 22nd September. We have scheduled break in August. If we are to continue  Swap and Mends, the Community Garden, the LETS scheme, and other projects,  at the same level as at present, we will need more volunteers. We have an incredible team of volunteers who support and help run Greener Fram events. Our aim is to take action for a positive future by making Framlingham more resilient, protecting our environment, working with the community, promoting  lifestyles which use less CO2  and have fun doing it.

Come to the next Swap and Mend. Have a chat, swap ideas and if you are able volunteer.

Next Swap and Mend Saturday 14th July CANCELLED

Published by:

Greener Fram’s Swap and Mend on Saturday 14th July has been CANCELLED due to lack of available volunteers. All Greener Fram’s activities including the Swap and Mends rely on a dedicated team of volunteers staffing the events and activities. This pool of volunteers gets quite thin sometimes. WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS. We would very much like to continue and further develop our activities but without volunteers this won’t be possible. Much used events like Swap and Mends which attract 200-300 people each month may to need to be held less often.

A planned break in August was already scheduled. If you think you can help or want more information then come along to our next Swap and Mend on Saturday 22nd September. Without more volunteers this excellent monthly event could cease.

Community Garden – New Coordinators needed

Published by:

The Community Garden started in 2010 in collaboration with Framlingham College who kindly donated the land for the project. A dedicated team have acted as the point of contact between Greener Fram and the College. They organised events, planting and volunteers on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The team now wish to step down and we thank them for all their work over the last eight years.

We now need a new team to take up the project and  to develop it further in discussion with the Greener Fram Core Group and the Framlingham College. At present many of the plots are being used by other organisations and Greener Fram works 6 plots. We have 3-4 regular helpers meeting on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

The Community Garden has a fenced raised bed area, an orchard, and meadow. The new team would act in a coordinating role as well as developing new events. They would work closely with the Greener Fram Core Group and receive support from them.

Greener Fram is acting for a positive future. Are you interested in joining us,  if so contact Jackie on 01728 684312. Don’t worry if you don’t have a team, others may feel the same, and together the new team will be formed.
